What is RecDesk?

RecDesk is a fully web-based solution designed for Parks & Recreation Departments, Schools, Churches, Civic, and Non-Profit Organizations. It streamlines program management, facility administration, cash reconciliation, credit card processing, and registrations, whether online, in-person, or via mail-in submissions.

Our platform fosters community engagement by facilitating online payment and registration, making it incredibly user-friendly and cost-effective. The RecDesk solution comprises two essential components: RecDesk Director, empowering Parks & Rec personnel in program management, and RecDesk Community is an accessible portal for community members.

What equipment do I need?

Any internet connected device with a standard browser.

What equipment does the community need to search and register for programs?

All that your community needs is an internet connected device and a standard modern browser. If you’d like to utilize automated facility check-ins, a barcode scanner may also be required.

Who owns the data?

Your organization retains full ownership of its data. RecDesk serves as a caretaker, ensuring the security and privacy of your information. We are committed to never sharing or selling any personally identifiable information about your organization or its members. What sort of training is required to use RecDesk?

No specialized training is necessary to use RecDesk. We’ve designed it to be user-friendly and intuitive. In the event you encounter any questions that aren’t addressed in our online documentation and help resources, our dedicated Customer Care Team is readily available to assist you. Is online registration available 24/7?

Yes, online registration is available 24/7. Let RecDesk work for you even when you are closed.

How soon are updates that are made in RecDesk Director available on the RecDesk Community web site?

Updates are instantaneous, with no delay between RecDesk Director and RecDesk Community.

What does your onboarding process look like?

Your onboarding experience with us is elevated by a dedicated Customer Success Manager (CSM) exclusively assigned to you as you implement RecDesk. This personalized service package commences with a Project Kickoff meeting where you will determine together with your CSM what your training process will look like. 

A typical onboarding has between 3-6 personalized training sessions in a virtual room with Google Meet. What sets us apart is our flexibility and ability to hear your; we’re here to tailor your process to your unique needs, ensuring a seamless and customized transition.

Credit Card/Payment Processing

How is credit card processing handled?

All credit card processing is handled via your integrated merchant account. You have complete control over the money your organization receives through RecDesk. We handle the integration details and PCI compliance. Learn more about payment processing at RecDesk Payment Processing.

Who pays the credit card fees?

RecDesk does not impose any per-transaction fees. However, it’s important to note that credit card fees are associated with the payment processor you choose, and these fees may vary depending on the processor you select. You have the flexibility to decide whether you want to pass these fees on to your customers as a convenience fee or absorb them as part of your organization’s expenses. Security

How secure is RecDesk?

RecDesk prioritizes robust security measures. Access to the RecDesk Director application occurs exclusively through a secure SSL channel and includes the option for Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). We maintain a strict policy of not storing sensitive information such as credit card details or social security numbers of members. All credit card processing is securely managed by our trusted payment gateway partners and their own secure servers. RecDesk also holds a SOC 2 Type II Certification, affirming our commitment to data security and integrity. 

How is credit card information protected?

RecDesk is PCI-compliant. Credit card information is never stored in our database, leaving no trace of sensitive data. We only store the end result of such transactions including the amount, and authorization/confirmation number for record keeping purposes.

All credit card transactions take place on the secure servers of our PCI-compliant payment gateway partners, safeguarded by SSL encryption.
